We Are Most Grateful
For Your Support

Step One

Gather the Supplies

Once a patient is in need and their unique interests are identified, the first step to a successful dec’ing is assembling a great team and finding the right decorations.

Step Two

Surprise the Patient

The goal is to transform a boring hospital room into a cozier, more personalized healing place that is filled with things that the patient will find comforting during their extended hospital stay.

Step Three

Create A Healing Place

Patients can look forward to enjoying their newly decorated hospital room, and once discharged, they can take all of their decorations with them.

Dell Children's Kick Off

Dec My Room had a fantastic time kicking off at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas on June 1st. A team of 10 volunteers decorated 8 patient rooms with themes from Spiderman and dinosaurs for a 6 year old, all the unicorns and princesses for a 3 year old and two 4 year olds (popular theme!), Honduran futbol, motorcycles and wrestling for a 17 year old, lady bugs for a 13 year old, Legos and Super Mario for a 10 year old! So fun to personalize each space!

Room to Grow 2022

After a two-year hiatus, the annual Room To Grow event took over the Neiman Marcus courtyard at NorthPark Centre with joyous energy. The attired matched the sentiment — bright neon, floral prints, and elegant heels filled the leafy space, dotted with elegant tables set for spring. Guests mingled, sipped a refreshing signature drink made with Mijenta tequila, and placed their bets on an expansive silent auction — which, naturally, included copious amounts of NorthPark gold.
